I recently made some additions to my skincare and body care beautybaggs that I’m pretty excited to try, so I thought I’d share.
La Roche-Posay Effaclar K – This was a repurchase, since I used up the tube Mimi gave me in our swap a few months ago. This isn’t fast-acting by any means, but it’s gentle yet effective. I use it every night in the areas where I typically break out, and my skin has not been this clear for the past several months. I still don’t care for the smell (why isn’t this fragrance free?), but it’s non-offensive. It has also visibly lightened some hyper pigmentation too. Highly recommend this if you are looking for gentle acne prevention that you can use every night. Paraben free. The active ingredients are:
- 1.5% Salicylic Acid
- 0.3% LHA (for micro-exfoliating)
- 0.05% of Retinul Linoleate
Lavanila The Healthy Deodorant in Vanilla Coconut – At $18, this is a pretty darn expensive deodorant. It’s been raved about on youtube by both MakeupByTiffanyD, and Veronika of the blog Veronika’s Blushing (adore them both), so I figure I’d give it a try. It’s natural and smells very summery – think I’ll like this as the weather warms up.
SUPER by Dr. Perricone – Sun Kissed Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 25 – Tali from The Gloss Goss was raving about this line on her blog, so I was curious to try it since I love her taste. This line was previous carried at Sephora and has now been discontinued. I remember seeing it when it first launched at Sephora, and I had no idea what the line was. I happened to be in a Sephora store when a marketing event was held, and Sephora employees just walked around handing out samples without talking about any of the awesome benefits of the line. It’s geared toward those in their late 20’s to early 30’s, and it’s made from super foods, fruits and vegetables highest in phytonutrients that prevent inflammation and give vibrant, glowing skin (read more about it here). This tinted moisturizer supposedly gives a bronzy, glowy effect with the help of turmeric, and it’s one of Tali’s faves. It’s all natural, and I can’t wait to try it.
SUPER by Dr. Perricone – Moisturizing Activator – This is a toner that I’m going to use in the evenings after I finish my Albion Skin Conditioner, which has synthetic fragrance and parabens, so despite it being an awesome toner, I won’t be repurchasing. This SUPER toner is all natural, gently exfoliates, and is made from chia, which has omega 3. Seems like a big win.
