Favorite moisturizer: Natura Bisse NB Ceutical Tolerance Recovery Cream

I have a big announcement to make.  I think I’ve found my favorite moisturizer, and it’s the Natura Bisse NB Ceutical Tolerance Recovery Cream.

Yes, this might seem like a small, trivial announcement, but for something that I put on my face twice a day everyday, it’s pretty important to me.  I’ve been searching for the past year or so for a go-to moisturizer that is paraben-free, has anti-aging properties, and has no strong scent.  I’ve tried Clarins Multi-Active Night Youth Recovery Cream – scent was WAY too strong and the product is not paraben-free.  I went natural and tried Tata Harper Rejuvenating Serum, which I really wanted to love because it’s 100% natural and organic, but the scent was too overpowering for me as well.  I also tried a bevy of other moisturizers – some by Kiehl’s (not paraben-free), some by natural brands I came across at Whole Foods, but nothing fit the bill.  I find that natural brands have scents that are too overpowering for me.

Then, Mimi blogged about her facial experience with Natura Bisse NB Ceutical line.  Natura Bisse isn’t a brand that’s typically top of mind for me, because it’s pricey and doesn’t scream paraben-free to me.  However, the new NB Ceutical line is allergen and paraben-free and is designed to increase the skin’s tolerance to internal/external elements.  This was based on their observation that there is an increasing number of people with skin sensitivity issues.  I don’t necessarily have sensitive skin, but the less irritants I can put on my face, the better.

I decided to take the $155 plunge and get the Natura Bisse NB Ceutical Tolerance Recovery Cream at beautybar.com (which has a $15 off coupon code BFRESH + a GWP code BBNAT + 5% off on eBates.com!).

I LOVE THIS MOISTURIZER.  It’s this peachy color, and it just sinks into my skin.  It is not irritating and moisturizes my combination skin without making it oily.  I can’t put my finger on the scent – I don’t care for it, but it’s not offensive to me, and I am very sensitive to scents.  This is very pricey, but I still HIGHLY RECOMMEND this to those in their late 20’s and up who want a moisturizer with anti-aging/protective properties.

Have you tried this?  What is your favorite moisturizer??

Oh boy I’m going to have to get this now. Emmy Loves the NB line too. She is always raving to me about it. Are you sure it’s fragrance free? I never know with them. I dropped my Ole cream on the carpet yesterday so I’m almost out of face cream now.

      Oh no, that sucks 😦

Mimi I just added a pic of the ingredients list to the post – unfortunately fragrance is an ingredient. I wish companies would remove that from the ingredients, because it can be a skin irritant!

OMG Jules – our friend Christine was just saying that La Mer totally does not blend into her face and she hates it too!

What do you think?
