Reviews: Le Métier de Beauté Peau Vierge Anti-Aging Complex and Correcteur Concealer

My preferred skin base is some sort of tinted moisturizer (favorite being the Chantecaille Just Skin), so when I heard that luxe beauty brand Le Métier de Beauté (LMdB for short) had one with powerful skincare ingredients in it, I HAD to give it and its corresponding corrector/concealer a try.

Le Métier de Beauté Peau Vierge Anti-Aging Complex – With SPF 18, this “tinted treatment” gives a sheer glowy coverage (it has tiny shimmer), and just melts into the skin.  I have oily skin, and if I don’t top this with a powder, I will look very oily within a couple of hours.  This has retinol, which helps stimulate collagen production.  I can’t speak for the skincare benefits (of this or any other anti-aging skincare since I use it all for prevention), but I like that it does have skincare benefits WHILE evening out my skin tone and giving me a healthy glow.  There are only 3 shades, and I use shade 2 Light/Medium, which suits my MAC NC 25 skin pretty well.  It’s also fragrance-free, which gets a huge plus in my book.  At $125, it is without a doubt a big splurge, but if you are serious about anti-aging skincare (I am in my early 30’s and very serious!), want a luxurious product that gives you a light, glowy look, I would highly recommend checking this out.  I will repurchase when I run out, and I’m seriously considering getting this for the women in my family for their holiday gifts this year.

Le Métier de Beauté Peau Vierge Correcteur Concealer – The corresponding corrector/concealer has retinol in it as well, and is paraben and fragrance free.  I was intrigued by the idea of a concealer that had skincare benefits, and this one actually works GREAT.  The coverage is very good, and the lighter shade works well for me.  It does not crease on me, and I apply it straight from the tube to my under eye area and then blend out with a finger.  Is it worth the $95 price tag?  Well, again if you’re serious about skincare and want a luxury cosmetic product that also has skincare benefits, then this one is worth checking out.

Have you tried these LMdB Peau Vierge products?  What do you think of color cosmetics with skincare benefits?

I’m thinking it depends on how often you use Retin-A? Some women avoid using products with retinol on days they use Retin-A – something to consider!

What do you think?
